Custom tailored machine for wrapping up the composite strips on a pattern for manufacturing the propeller roots of wind generator mill.

Is a machine for processing automatically the application of composite or carbon fibre strips on a rotating pattern.

This process is controlled by a precision production programme, based in a brake generator system controlling all required parameters such strip characteristics, strip tension, winding speed and production requirements, including automatic replacement of strip empty spool by new strip rolls.

• The propeller roots length is of 12.300 mm.
• The total weight of pattern plus fabricated root is of 9.000 kg.
• Outside diameter of the root is of 1.880 mm.
• Rotating speed of root production is of 30 r.p.m.
• Max. strip winding tension id of 3.150 N
• Max. Torque at main headstock if of 3.150 Nm.
